We have been using Shelf for several months now and have found the service to be well worth the learning curve. We primarily use it for keeping track of roughly 400 assets that are out in the field and 120 within our office itself. The system for assigning the devices to team members is easy to learn and the duplication and creation of assets within the system are as well. While we have yet to utilize the booking feature, we there is a significant chance that we may use it in the future for our onboarding process. We have found the search functionality to be useful and the inventory value system is phenomenal.

How to use Signed custody

Signed custody releases on Q1 24'. Follow the steps below to get started.

Register to Shelf

Simply register to shelf. Each user starts with a personal workspace.

Create one asset

Create one or many assets to your asset database. Plus and team plans can import via CSV.

Add a team member

Name and email address is what you need. For non registered members a one time link can be made.

Upload a template

Go to settings > template and upload any PDF you want your users to read and sign before having an asset assigned to them.

Give custody and select a template

Go to your asset page, navigate to your actions panel and pick 'give custody', toggle the 'requires signature' button to load your templates.

Wait for signature

Your end user gets a mail with a signature request. Once this is done, you will get notified and the signature is recorded.
