Know Where Everything Is

Every scan is recorded on the asset's Last scan card with the time, the person, the device and, when the phone or browser shares it, the coordinates where it happened, so you can see where an item was last in someone's hands without GPS hardware on every piece. The asset's recorded location, the room, building or site it belongs to, changes when you tell Shelf it moved: Update location on the asset, or the scanner's Update location batch action, which moves every scanned item in one go. Checking an item in does not move it by itself.
