Transferring Ownership Is Now Easy to Find

Transferring a workspace to a new owner has worked for months, and it is documented. The problem was finding it. The card lived in one place, Workspace settings → General, and it rendered nothing at all for anyone who was not the owner. The most common case in support was an owner who had handed day-to-day management to an administrator: that administrator went looking, and for them the feature simply did not exist anywhere in the product.

Administrators can see who can transfer

Workspace settings → General now shows the card to every member. If you are not the owner it names the owner, with their email address, so you know who to ask instead of guessing.

A second route, where you manage your team

Workspace settings → Team now carries a Transfer ownership button on the owner's row. For the owner it goes straight to the card. For everyone else it does not act and names the owner on hover, which answers the question on the page where people were already looking for the answer.

Personal workspaces give honest advice

A Personal workspace has a single user, so there is nobody to transfer it to. The card used to say "No admins found, add an admin first", which is impossible advice on a workspace that cannot have admins. It now explains that Personal workspaces cannot be transferred and links to Account settings, where changing the account's email address is the thing that actually hands the workspace over.

The transfer itself is unchanged, and it is still permanent.
