Shelf Companion: Kits, Smarter Bookings, and Full Scanner Parity

The Shelf Companion app (iPhone and Android) now browses kits, builds and checks out bookings from the floor, and brings batch scanning, manual code entry, and sequential-ID lookup to the native scanner.
The latest Shelf Companion release (v1.0.3, live on the App Store and Google Play) closes the gap between the native scanner and the web, and adds kits and a much more capable bookings experience on the phone.
Kits on mobile
Kits now have their own screens alongside assets. Use the Assets | Kits switcher to browse kits, filter to My custody, and tap into a kit for its hero image, QR card, and full details. From kit detail you can assign or release custody of the whole kit and move its location, the same inline actions you use on an asset. Scanning a kit's QR opens it directly, and you can scan kits into a batch action just like assets.
Bookings you can run from the floor
The bookings list gains individual Reserved, Ongoing, and Overdue filters, keyword search, sorting (start date, due date, name, recently created), and a per-row countdown ("Due in 5h", "Overdue by 3d"). Inside a booking you can now:
- Build it by scanning. Open a draft, tap Scan to Add Assets, and scan the gear you're packing. Kits expand to their member assets automatically.
- Check out progressively. Check out a chosen subset of a booking's assets instead of all at once, with a lifecycle progress bar tracking each item through Reserved, Checked out, and Returned.
- Check in safely. Scan-to-check-in only accepts assets that belong to the booking, expands kit codes to their members, and won't double-return an item that's already back.
Creating and editing the booking itself (dates, custodian, details) still happens on the web.
A scanner that keeps up
The native scanner now matches the web scanner across batch flows: scan a run of items for a bulk custody or location change and resolve any per-item blockers before you submit. Can't scan a label? Tap Enter code to type a QR ID, barcode, or sequential ID (a SAM) by hand, on both the general and audit scanners.
Everything uses your existing Shelf login, workspace, and role-based permissions. The app is free with any Shelf plan.
