A bulk action's record now names exactly what it touched

A location's activity feed lists only the assets a bulk move really brought in, and releasing several kits at once records each kit's own custodian instead of the first one's.

Two bulk actions did the right thing to your data and then described it wrongly in the history. Nothing was ever moved or released incorrectly — but the record of it was, and a record you cannot trust is not much of a record.

A location no longer claims stock that never arrived. Quantity-tracked assets are skipped by the bulk Update location action, because a placement needs a count as well as a place. The move itself always honoured that; the note written on the destination location's activity feed did not, and listed every asset you had selected. Move a tripod and a roll of gaffer tape together and the location's history said both had been added, when only the tripod had. The note now names only the assets the action actually moved — which also means an asset already at the location you picked is no longer written up as having arrived there.

Releasing several kits at once names the right person. Select kits on the Kits index and use Release custody, and each asset's note and each CUSTODY_RELEASED event now carries the custodian of the kit that asset came through. Until now the whole batch borrowed the first selected kit's custodian, so releasing Sarah's kit and Tom's kit together left every asset in the batch recorded against Sarah — a false statement in a permanent asset history, and a wrong grouping in any report built on the released custodian.

Records written before 18 September 2026 still carry the old values. If you have run either of these batches and something in an asset's or a location's history looks off, that is the likely reason. Everything from here on is written from what the action really did.
