Custody Visibility Now Holds on Detail Pages and in the Companion App

Custody visibility, in Settings ▸ Workspace ▸ Permissions, decides whether Self-service and Base users can see who is holding equipment they are not involved with. It is off by default.

The setting now covers every place a custodian's name can appear, rather than the lists alone:

• Asset and kit pages. Opening one item at a time shows the same Private treatment the index does.
• The Shelf Companion app. The asset list, the kit list and a kit's detail screen follow the setting, matching the asset detail screen that already did.
• Checked-out gear. An item out on a booking has no custodian in the usual sense — the person responsible is the booking's custodian, shown in the same place on the page. That name follows the setting too.
• The Assign Quantity Custody dialog on quantity-tracked assets. Its team-member list now opens on the same people its search already returned, so it lists only who this user is eligible to hand units to instead of seeding from the full team.

Your own custody is never hidden. On every one of these surfaces a person still sees what they are holding, including inside a kit whose other members are held by colleagues. The setting hides other people, not the item in your own hands.

Administrators and Owners are unaffected and continue to see everything. Nothing changes for a workspace that has custody visibility switched on.
